Throne: Kingdom at War is a massively multiplayer online real-time strategy game for iOS and Android devices, and for web browser, developed by Plarium. The game was released in 2016 and is set in a fictional medieval kingdom where players build their own towns and armies to battle against each other in clan-based warfare.

Gameplay
The game is set in fictional Kingdom of Amaria, where the reigning monarch has died. Players must build towns, create militaries, build resource buildings, and go to war. Armies consist of knights, spearmen, cavalry, siege units, scouts, and other medieval style characters, who engage in player-versus-player and player-versus-environment combat. Players can spend resources on "Studies", or research upgrades that can improve their towns, armies and other assets.
Players engage in battles with neighbouring armies in order to expand or defend their kingdom, and must employ strategy, planning, and discipline, tests players' ability to effectively lead and manage the collection of resources, development of military powers, and capacity to conquer new lands while defending their own.

Critical reception
The game has been generally positively received, with Jennifer Allen of Gamezebo writing that Throne "has a pleasant medieval kind of theme to it", while "working together to form alliances and gradually conquer new land is where things get more interesting for Throne: Kingdom at War. Fighting is particularly enjoyable, although it'll take you a little while to get that far;" and "there's a sense of progression that entices you into coming back for a few minutes throughout the day." Kavita Iyer of Techworm described the game as "riveting and addictive."
GamesRadar+ included Throne in its list of the "Best MMORTS games you can play right now" in September 2017, praising the game's "good mix of kingdom-building, questing and action-packed real-time battles" and compares the aesthetics with the television series, Game of Thrones.
In January 2018 the game had user ratings of 4.2 stars on iTunes and 4.4 stars on Google Play.
